TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES

Otherwise Studios offers a wide range of team-bonding workshops designed to engage everyone in hands-on activities, go home with a creation of their own or a collaborative creation for the office, as well as gain some knowledge on each other and a selected skill! Workshops can be offered in-person or virtually.

Each workshop begins with a general demonstration of different skills and techniques involved in the chosen activity, and involves both one-on-one and collaborative instructional help throughout. If you are looking for a virtual live art class, we will work with you to put together take-home kits including all materials needed, as well as a custom workshop taught through Zoom.

The maximum number of students noted below is if you choose to come to Otherwise Studios for your activity. We are happy to teach more people by coming to you if you have an office, class, or public space that can accommodate more participants.

    I. LINOBLOCK PRINTMAKING

    Participants learn how to design, carve, and hand-print a single-colour linoleum print using a variety of tools and techniques.

    Price: $200 base price + Materials: $15 per person. Shipping for virtual workshops extra.

    II. COLLABORATIVE MONOTYPE PRINTMAKING

    Working together, the group creates a varied edition of unique monotypes, learning the techniques to apply inks and pull prints.

    III. PAINTING TECHNIQUES

    Learn the tools and techniques you need to paint your desired masterpieces, whether that be navigating the ins and outs of an abstract piece, or a realistic work!

    IV. CLAY CREATIONS

    Hand-shape your own creation out of air-dry or polymer clay using a variety of sculpting tools.

    This workshop includes a variety of shorter creative team-bonding activities and focuses on collaboration for a true team-building experience full of mess-making, experimenting, and play.

    VI. EMBROIDERY

    Participants learn how to take their idea and image from paper to fabric, while gaining knowledge of basic hand embroidery stitches to embellish their desired design.
