Artist and Owner of Play With Clay Hamilton, ISABELLE BISNAIRE lives, breathes, and is pottery. Okay, maybe she’s not physically pottery, but she’s definitely devoted to the craft. Her ceramic art ranges from sophisticated wheel spun sculptural pieces to silly playful pots. These pieces showcase her precision, mindfulness, and innovation to the art.
Isabelle Bisnaire graduated from the University of Guelph with a double major in Studio Art and Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. It was during this during time at Guelph that she developed a keen interest in pottery and the ceramic arts.
In October 2019 she opened Play with Clay on Locke St. S. in Hamilton where pottery and ceramics enthusiasts of all ages can paint pre-formed bisque, hand-build clay creations, and/or try their hand at throwing on the wheel. Play with Clay has become a popular destination for Hamilton’s creative community and anyone looking for a lovely way to spend an afternoon. It has afforded Isabelle a dynamic opportunity to hone her craft as a potter while teaching classes and experimenting with new ways to express herself as an artist.
