What happens when a digital image fails, and how can this failure speak to the way in which we see? It’s these questions we fall into when we look at Ongman’s photographic works.
EMMA ONGMAN is a lens based artist interested in questioning the value of visibility within photographs during the age of post-internet art and the ubiquitous digital image. Through utilizing digital corruption, Emma explores the creation of images with elements of chance to commemorate the origins of the digital image within analogue photographic processes.
