If you’ve had the pleasure of grabbing a drink at Brothers Brewery, you may already recognize some of ASA PROVEAU’s artwork. The vintage feel and gritty texture date these digital illustrations and become iconic trademarks for locals. He told us they started designing their label artwork with the intention of it being screenprint-able, and designs grew more intricate and complex from there on.

Brothers label artwork has been ever evolving. The concepts and ideas come from a developing collaborative vision between twin brothers Asa Proveau and Colton Proveau; to create a larger than life visual experience that elevates the enjoyment of their creative brews. Anthony Ventresca of Presstime Design was the first to bring their visions to life, designing the breweries first five labels. Since then, Asa has expanded upon Anthony’s foundational work, borrowing patterns, key images and textures to refine a recognizable style through which they continue to express “what’s brewing”. The beer, artwork and space are all important pieces of the puzzle. For Brothers, the actual piece of “art” is this entire experience.
