The gift giving season is amongst us and maybe you’ve starting shopping or writing your own wish list!
We are so lucky that there are tons of super rad people working their butts off to bring us really awesome things. While big boxes and amazon are gearing up with discounts and sales, consider supporting small by checking out some amazing local shops and makers. A lot of these businesses have online shopping, lovely store fronts, and local delivery or curbside pick up available. We wanted to put together an ongoing list that features some rad people selling and doing rad things.
Before you go big box, think small.
WHAT CAN WE DO
Understand the hard decisions. Though we are offering class credits for our postponed events, some small businesses do not have the ability to do that. We’re all in this together – be kind to one another and mindful that everyone’s making tough decisions on an hourly basis.
Instead of asking for refunds, consider donating or using the amount as a credit for future use.
Buy gift cards now, to help with small business income.
Consider shopping small for things that you need before the big box. Small businesses need the support now more than ever.
If you can’t financially support small businesses right now, they’ll understand! Give them a like, a follow, or share what they’re doing so other people can support them.
Reach out to a small business owner to check in with how they’re doing if you think they could use it.
